DYWIDAG Strand Post-Tensioning System successfully used in Russia

In connection with the construction of an inner ring road in Moscow, the erection of a new 1,000 m long bridge became necessary. For his purpose a continuous post-tensioned hollow box girder with constant overall depth was chosen. The width of he bridge is 30 m and typical span 40 m.
The bridge superstructure was cast in place in sections on a mobile falsework. As a result a total of 100 segments with lengths varying from 14 to 30 m were necessary.
For post-tensioning of the bridge superstructure DYWIDAG 15 and 19 strand Ø15.7 mm with type MA anchorages and type R couplers were installed. Construction was successfully completed in late 2001.
