Light Weight Hollow-Piston Cylinders for Prestressing Jacks

CFRP Hollow-Piston Cylinder (maximum pressure 700 bar)

In comparison to normal steel hollow piston cylinders, CFRP Hollow-Piston Cylinders offer the convenience of up to 60 % less weight. This enormous advantage is realized particularly with mobile applications as well as during manual handling.

Heavy lifting equipment for transport and assembling of the cylinders can be omitted in most situations.

The ultra-light weight CFRP-cylinders allow a simple and efficient workflow. These cylinders have an integrated overflow valve which opens when the piston is completely extended. The fixing of the cylinder lid is unable to stand the full piston force.

The CFRP hollow-piston cylinders can be connected with auxilliary wedge setting devices or stressing chairs for ground anchors.

CFRP-lightweight prestressing jacks with integrated wedge setting device

For smaller tendons, CFRP-prestressing jacks with integrated wedge setting device are used. This piston saves space and provides a non-slipping anchorage of tendons or ground anchors. An additional hydraulic connection is necessary. The withdrawal of the wedge setting piston happens automatically during the stressing operation.

For testing ground anchors, stressing chairs can be supplied to maintain the anchoring of ground anchors after testing, together with the hydraulic wedge setting piston. For servicing, portable and mobile hydraulic aggregates are available.
