DYWIDAG Bar Post-Tensioning Systems – A successful Tradition

The first ever structure built with a prototype of the DYWIDAG Bar Post-Tensioning System was the Alsleben arch bridge in Germany in 1927. In that year, a tradition began that we have successfully continued on a global scale until today. DYWIDAG Bar Tendons are mainly used for repair and strengthening. Our bar tendons are also used for a permanent, force-fit connection of concrete and steel such as they are needed for the construction of wind towers or other structures. Our systems can be used as bonded or unbonded bar tendons as well as external tendons for a large variety of applications.
